Busch Systems is excited to announce the next webinar in our Green Thinking Webinar Series!

Waste reduction advocates have sought for years to move beyond recycling to advance practices that reduce waste at its source. While programs to keep durable items out of the landfill have found some success, it's been much harder to implement initiatives that systematically displace single-use packaging with reusable alternatives on a wide-scale. That is starting to change.

This FREE webinar will feature presentations about several reusable initiatives:

Reuse Seattle Partnership, a public-private partnership between the City of Seattle and local organizations to help businesses and residents move from single-use to reuse.
Keep Truckee Green pilot introducingreusable to-go boxes for area restaurants.
r.Cup program that provides a closed loop reusable cup system for drink concessions and event venues

Speaker: Dr. Emma Garnett, Research Fellow at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership

Description: During Emma’s PhD she ran long-term observational and experimental studies in five University of Cambridge college cafeterias to test different approaches to increase sales of vegetarian meals. Data from 1142 mealtimes and 213,627 meal selections have produced some expected and unexpected results. Emma will discuss these findings, the University of Cambridge's Sustainable Food Policy and the future of food.
